Keep play safer
Gambling should never be treated as income or a way to recover losses. Decide an affordable entertainment budget and time limit before starting, monitor spending, take frequent breaks, and never borrow to gamble.
- Do not chase losses
- Do not gamble when distressed or under the influence
- Keep essential household money separate
- Use spending limits, self-exclusion and bank gambling blocks where available
Know the warning signs
Warning signs include being unable to stop, increasing stakes, hiding activity, borrowing money, neglecting work or relationships, gambling to escape feelings, and repeatedly trying to recover losses.

Protection in a production service
A real-money service should provide effective age and identity checks, deposit and spend limits, reality checks, time-outs, self-exclusion, account closure, clear transaction history and trained customer support. Safeguards must be easy to find and must not be undermined by marketing or incentives.
